 Dr. Masel is recognized as an expert in the fields of electrochemistry, kinetics and catalysis. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Drexel University in 1972 and his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at Berkley in 1977. He joined the faculty at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in 1978 and has been a full professor since 1987. He is the author of over 150 publications, more than 200 presentations, and two major textbooks in kinetics and catalysis. His work has been cited more than 1,500 times since 1973, which puts him in the top 100 chemical engineers worldwide in terms of impact of his work. |
